Client Project: New Apartment in Brooklyn, Introduction Part 2

Last week, I introduced you to a new client project that I’m so excited to be working on: a two-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn for a lovely lady and her two kids in which she is essentially starting from scratch. I’m calling the project #BrooklynReboot and last week’s introduction described the scope of the entire project, the backstory and then showed off the design direction of the master bedroom. Client Project: New Apartment in Brooklyn

Today, I am introducing you to a beautiful new client project that has been a year in the making. It involves a really fun and stylish lady, her two super cute kids, a new two-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn that gets ALL THE LIGHT and even has in-apartment washer and dryer AND a private patio (WTF?!), and a new start in life. So I pinned that picture and then, over a few months, pinned a couple more photos of bedrooms with dark blue walls, wooden headboards and white comforters. I went from having a vague idea to having a very specific one quite quickly.

Hello? Is it Me You’re Looking for?

I like our house, I think it’s cute, but honestly, it’s a bit basic. It has vinyl siding in a really light gray, a small porch that is white and dark gray, and only one window on the lower level in the front. In other words, the curb appeal is a bit lacking on the ground level.
