Remember how I was all like, “We’re going to do so much this year, just you wait and see?” Not only has the year started since I said that (back in December 2016), but we’re six months into the year, a whole halfway over!!, and we have done exactly nothing from that list. A lot of that has to do with having to replace our roof – surprise! – and then spring came and all we have wanted to do is spend it outside. In fact, I recently wrote about how I will be a backyard bum for the next few months. At some point soon, I’ll start paying attention to the projects in the house. At this six-month check in, that means I’m going to have to revise the list. So let’s take a look.
A couple of weeks ago, I went over what I thought were the top five house projects of the past year. They all had to do with bringing in color and creating more function out of our cozy spaces. For 2017, we plan on doing absolutely nothing.
HAHAHAHA, yeah right.
Here’s a list of the top five projects I am planning for 2017 and each is rated on a scale of 0 to 5, 0 being the littlest chance of this project actually getting done and 5 being the highest chance. Starting in January, over the course of several weeks, I’ll detail the reason for each project and share design ideas too.
We’re closing in on two years since we first bought the house (has anyone ever noticed how quickly years go by?!) and I remember thinking when we bought the house in December and moved into it January 1 that I truly believed we could redo our kitchen for less than $20,000 and by the end of that year. I remember first seeing the kitchen and being horrified and thinking that that project had to be among the first that we do. Oh, how naive we were, we quickly humbled first-time homebuyers! I mean, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
