The Cozy Cottage

2020 Vision

I posted this week on the best of the blog this past year and now I’m looking ahead to 2020. I hope to FINALLY tackle two projects as well as have two new points of focus for the blog. Here’s what I’m thinking.

The Cozy Cottage in 2020

The two projects I hope to FINALLY get to this year are making the office work and look better, and organizing the garage. One of these is sexier than the other but both are necessary to my mental health!

I have been talking about this office for too dang long. The latest version is from when we did some rearranging of the house to make room for baby. You can read more about that here. I want to create a full office/library wall that can accommodate all of our books and more as they come in, a desk that has space for both a desktop and laptop, and still feel uncluttered for guests. Right now, this room drives me crazy.

I want to fully organize our garage so that it can once again be a chill place to hangout and not be a mess, as well as actually hold all the stuff we now own. The Boss Bar still exists but we just need to get rid of a lot of crap, organize and clean up what we have, and go back to having fun in this space. The mess has gotten out of hand and I can’t handle it.

The 256 Project in 2020

I was able to share some good tips on renovation, home and design from the pros this year and I’d like to do more of that in 2020 (here is one example). Got any design and renovation questions you’d like answered? Let me know and I’ll see what experts I can get great information from for you!

Moodboards are fun to look at and, when I’m inspired, I love to dream them up. I was thinking of creating a new moodboard series, including some of the ones I’ve already done. Maybe these moodboards will help inspire me and also you to get the rooms we really want this year!

What would you like to see on The 256 Project this year? Let me know!
