Friday Faves: Instagram Woes
There are some weeks when “Where is weekend?” is all I think about and this week was one of them. So I’m happy to say “It’s Friday, it’s Friday!!!” To celebrate, here are this week’s Friday Faves. A major focus I’ve had of late is Instagram and the problems that a lot of us are seeing with it…
Social Support:
Instagram is soooooo hard. The algorithm is continually changing and making it so hard to attract new followers. I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that you are seeing things in your feed from days before and, if you follow enough people, you barely see your friends’ posts anymore. Designers and influencers Liz Kamarul and Design Love Fest recently posted about this, both on which I commented that we all just need to support each other, like each other’s posts, comment on them, respond to comments, and spotlight other people’s work. Otherwise, everyone will just get lost on Instagram. Well, home DIYers Chris and Julia Marcum of Chris Loves Julia talked through Instagram on their podcast this week. It’s worth listening to if conquering Instagram or even knowing more about it interests you.
House Tours & Projects:
This place as seen on Apartment Therapy this week is just so cool. That’s all I really have to say. I love it when people go after what they want and do what they can to make it work within their means.
If you’re wondering where I’ll be for the next year, it’s going to be obsessively following designer Emily Henderson’s new lake/mountain house renovation. I already read her blog every day and now I have this new project to look forward to.
So there you have it. Happy Friday and I hope you like these #FridayFaves!
