Friday Faves: Listen, Watch and Learn
This weekend is April, we went a whole week without freezing temperatures and almost all of the snow is gone. Dare I say…spring is here?!!! So I’m extra Fri-yay about today!!! If you have some spare time this weekend, I have a few shows and podcasts that you may want to try out and a magnificent house tour in this week’s Friday Faves.
Listen
I just learned about the new Business of Home podcast by interior design trade Editor-at-Large. If you’re interested in the business, it’s worth checking out.
Watch
I can’t stop laughing over celebrities trying to make it through interviews while eating hot wings that get spicier and spicier as the interview goes on. I know I’m late to the game on this one, so maybe you’ve already heard of it, but if you haven’t, you just have to watch the YouTube series Hot Ones.
Learn
I’ve been talking about diversity in interior design for a little while now (hope I don’t sound preach-y, but it’s an important subject) and Grace Bonney posted an essay this week on her site Design*Sponge that discusses tactical ways members of the design community can help diversify how the industry is represented.
Finally
Perhaps I’m partial to New Jersey since we live there or perhaps I’m partial to fantastic design and details, but I’m all about this home tour on Rue magazine. Those dining room chairs, the large-scale prints, the emphasis on neutrals with strong color and patterns mixed throughout, that kitchen, those large-format art prints…aaaaaaah, I love this so much!
Happy Friday and Happy Weekending!
