Friday Faves: Grief

Happy Friday! It’s the end of week three of working from home or sheltering in place for many of us around the country, so how are you doing? I promise this post will not focus on doom and gloom and all the anxieties, fears and sadness we may be experiencing, but one feeling that a lot of us have is grief.

I hadn’t thought of that perspective before until I read this story in the Harvard Business Review.

No need to feel helpless, though. There are so many ways to help others though, like this one by the creator of furniture company The Inside.

Bread, my new favorite topic. If you’re getting into baking bread, like I am starting to as is the rest of the world, then check out this helpful article on how to work a starter. I am currently working on a no knead sourdough roll but I might try these pretzel rolls next.

Now, onto design. One of my favorite interior designers, Caitlin Murray of Black Lacquer Design, just revealed this Bel Air Contemporary project, and it is spectacular.

If you missed my Designer Spotlight Q&A with Quintece Hill-Mattauszek, then check it out here. She shares in-depth insight into her process and great tips for anyone to use.

Despite the grief we’re all feeling, I hope you can take a minute to find something to smile about. Remember, we’re all in this together. Happy Friday!
