Friday Faves: I Love My Neighborhood

Happy Friday, everyone! Tomorrow marks exactly four weeks since we’ve left the house to go anywhere other than on neighborhood walks. In the meantime, we are both luckily still employed full time and healthy, and we are just trying to get through each day getting work done, taking care of this growing toddler, and making it to the weekend where we try and make it feel different than the week before. How are you all doing?

In part, I’m keeping busy by still focusing on things that I like to see or be a part of and here are a few of my favorites.

I love our block, neighborhood and neighbors, and here are two stories that illustrate why: Wall Street Journal and Reuters.

Speaking of our awesome neighborhood, check out this beautiful renovation by interior designer Jessica Davis. She now lives in Atlanta with her family and her new home is featured here, but she used to live a block away and another of our neighbors was the architect of this remodel.

A few other things:

  • Jane Fonda joined TikTok and reminded everyone that she is a boss.
  • Spending a lot of time at home and looking to redesign your spaces? Studio McGee has rounded up their favorite design tips.
  • Need extra help taking care of your mental health right now? Check out what the team at VeryWell is doing.
  • Lastly, shameless plug for my cousin Stephanie Paul, who is an amazing choreographer. She worked on a show, Where the Mountain Meets the Sea, that was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. But the show must go on, and they are performing it online! You can learn more about the show here and buy tickets here.

Hope you are all staying healthy and find a way to enjoy this weekend!
