What I’m Into: Credenzas
Storage is on my mind. There are different forms for a variety of functions, spaces and design styles. With a cottage as cozy as ours, good-looking storage is important. I’d love to replace the makeshift credenza we have going on in this room. It’s currently two, mismatched Ikea shelving units side-by-side. I’m always Pinning credenzas so I’m sharing with you here what I’m into in case you’re on the lookout for that perfect credenza piece to make your attractive storage dreams come true.
The current makeshift credenza is perfectly sized to fit our record player, records, and toys, and the perfect height to fit a TV in case we wanted to shift things around at some later point. So here are a number of credenzas that have caught my eye with these uses in mind. But first! Sometimes people get confused by credenzas, buffets, sideboards and console tables. They might seem interchangeable but there are differences. Check out this story and this story to get the 411.
Even though this is sold as an item for children from Crate&kids, it looks kinda perfect, don’t you think? I like that it’s simple with that light, natural wood.
Look how cool this storage cube situation is from Simple Wood Goods. The light, natural wood frames are modular and stackable. The doors to the cubes are awesome too. As you know, I love color, so all the color options presented in a different material than the wood frame really makes this credenza look special. The doors slide open and closed so they are hidden when open, which is a great space saver in a small area. Also, Simple Wood Goods is a small business based in Ohio, so love that it’s not a big-box option. All great reasons for this to be a great option to consider.
This credenza by Hay (no longer available) has a powder-coated finish, which would make it super easy to clean. Plus, it’s metal, so it would provide a different kind of texture to a space that features a lot of wood and upholstery.
These two from Montana (the name of a company, not the state) aren’t quite right to replace our current makeshift credenza, but I’m really into the color options, material and design. Here’s the Rest bench and low bookshelf and the Octave III TV cabinet.
This stereo cabinet from Pete Deeble on Etsy looks vintage, but it’s an original design and beautiful.
So that’s what I’m into as far as credenzas go. Any of these catch your eye? To see what else I’m into, check out these chairs, outdoor hangout spaces, beds and headboards, sofas, and lighting.
