Friday Faves: DIY projects, death of the open concept, and the holidays
I completed a project, tried a new recipe, donated to a good (IMHO) cause, released my BIPOC holiday gift guide, and read a few things that I thought you might like. So let’s get into this week’s Friday Faves!

Did you know you can paint your appliances? What an inexpensive way to refresh your kitchen!
I recently made this Laotian Laab recipe, and it was super easy and delicious.
Emily Henderson tackles a design mistake that so many of us face: how to decorate the walls of a space with different types of art.

If you don’t know who Stacey Abrams is yet, well, you should. And if you want to get involved, check out Fair Fight here.
The holidays are going to look a little different this year and The New York Times has menus for Thanksgiving for two.
Speaking of the holidays, I realized The 256 Project 2020 Holiday Gift Guide entirely dedicated to BIPOC artists, makers and entrepreneurs. Check it out here in case you missed it.
Also, in case you missed it, I had a great interview with interior designer Brett Helsham here. Another Designer Spotlight interview is coming up soon, so catch up on the series now!
And, with that, have a safe and healthy weekend!
